Recensent + score | Robert Parker 92/100 |
Motivatie recensent | Interestingly, the 2020 Saint Joseph Les Coteaux was presented both as a bottled wine in my blind tasting (where I rated it 92 points) and as a couple of barrel samples at the domaine, from Châteaubourg and Glun (I rated each of these 90 – 92). The wine kicks off with vibrant, mouthwatering aromas of violets, mixed berries and anise, and it's medium to full-bodied, with melted, supple tannins, a creamy mouthfeel and a long, intense finish that hints at dark chocolate, salted licorice and crushed stones. Could it be a bit more complex? Sure, but it delivers plenty of concentrated flavor and should drink well for at least a decade. |
