Now into its fourth vintage, Franco Lourens' brilliant Piekenierskloof Grenache continues to turn heads. A quarter of the wine was fermented with stems, adding some spice to a nose of rooibos tea and rose petal. Racy and crunchy, with the zip of its 650-metre terroir, it has understated
concentration, strawberry and red cherry flavours and detailed, fine-grained tannins. 2023-28
